A KANBAN bin not only needs to hold a lot, it also has to be able to withstand it. In terms of handling, however, it should be one thing above all: practical and versatile.

  • Allows differentiation through the indicator function:
    An open front flap signals that the container is in use. If it is closed, it is the secondary container.

    Contamination is reduced by up to 80 per cent.
  • Greater access thanks to the generous access opening:
    The open front flap ensures optimum handling.
  • Space saving due to flap opening:
    Without the flap opening, 50 % more shelving space would be needed

Inventory management of the future

With RFID (radio frequency identification) technology, Kellner & Kunz is breaking new ground in inventory management – especially in the KANBAN system. Electromagnetic waves make it possible to register your C-parts requirements online “just in time”. At the heart of the system is the RFID transponder, which replaces traditional manual scanning and indicates consumption and demand in real time.

The RECA RFID iBox serves as an “intelligent” collection point for the empty KANBAN bins. This is where new orders are placed immediately. When an empty container is generated inside, the RFID transponder reacts.

The data is immediately transmitted to the Kellner & Kunz SAP system.

The RECA RFID iTag Box is an alternative solution if your containers are to be filled directly on your premises, or for items that are not suitable for filling into bins. As a result, this solution is also ideal for use directly at the workstation. In this case, the mobile labels of the bins are simply tagged with the RFID transponder.

The RECA RFID iShelf is installed on the KANBAN shelves as the top shelf on which you place your empty KANBAN bins. The intelligent shelf triggers the immediate order of the relevant part for this bin and transmits the data directly to the Kellner & Kunz AG SAP system.

The mobile RECA RFID iShelf is suitable for virtually any application, whether in the workshop, in the warehouse or at the workstation. Flexible and mobile in production.

The RECA RFID iPush system features an order button that is attached to the RECA RFID iPUSH. You simply have to press it to trigger the order. RECA RFID iPUSH is especially suitable for bulky or heavy items because the RECA RFID iPUSH can be attached to bins, cabinets or shelves.

The RECA RFID iPLACER is a small, battery-operated module with an integrated reading and transmission unit. Thanks to its compact design, it is easy to install and can be used directly at the workplace as well as in flow shelf systems, providing transparency and reliability when replenishing.

With RFID technology, your needs do not necessarily have to be registered decentrally. Using a RECA RFID iGate allows centralised registration and immediate data transmission of a large number of containers. Bulk scanning takes place as soon as the containers are transported through the iGate.    

Flexible and “zero defect” solution
The iGate is flexible and can be adapted to meet the customer’s requirements, simplifying the logistical processes. It also enables seamless documentation of the containers in circulation – for example for incoming and outgoing goods inspections.

BINS IN THE KANBAN PROCESS

RECA Bin cleaning

All empty KANBAN bins that are returned to our logistics centre by our customers pass through our bin washing facility. This ensures that any dust, oils, fats and shavings are removed from the bins to guarantee safe and clean working conditions. As an additional service, we also offer to clean your own in-house bins.
